Software Club

Software Club produced detailed technology research for investment teams, but reports, media and events needed a clearer product structure to become genuinely explorable. During a focused collaboration at Wolfox, two product designers framed an MVP around three high-value areas: public intelligence, an event directory and a homepage connecting the ecosystem. My role covered product framing, interaction design and prototyping.

Reduce the MVP to decisions users need to make

We mapped the research content and client journeys together. I helped narrow the MVP to three areas that could prove the product model without pretending to design the entire future platform at once.

Make intelligence assessable before it is opened

I designed a content model that exposed subject, relevance, format and freshness at a glance. Concise learnings, categories, tags and update indicators helped users decide where to invest their attention.

Support non-linear reading

I structured chaptered video, long-form documents and navigation around the way investment teams retrieve information: moving directly to the section relevant to a question rather than consuming every item from beginning to end.

Connect content through a useful homepage

We treated the homepage as a product hub rather than a marketing cover. I designed how new intelligence, events and personalised recommendations connected while keeping the wider library visible.

Outcome

The collaboration produced the product framing and prototypes for an MVP centred on intelligence discovery, event participation and repeat engagement.

The work established a concrete basis for development without pretending every possible feature belonged in the first release. Software Club later became Dedale; the separate Dedale website case study covers that subsequent brand and public-platform work.

It demonstrates how I turn dense specialist knowledge into a focused product model, making deliberate choices about what belongs in an MVP and what can wait.
